9th September, 2002. We have received forms for the South
Australia conference, these will be mailed out to those
interested within the next few days. The flights for the EB
child/adult and one carer have been donated by a sponsor, so we
still need to raise money for other family members to attend.
They would appreciate our fundraising efforts, so we must keep
at it.
3rd September, 2002 John Williamson Kindly donated a signed CD (Gunyah), signed poster and Old Man Emu book for the Mount Tyson fundraiser (Sue and Paul's dinner and raffle) to be held next year.
1st September, 2002 - In May 2003 South Australia is holding a national EB conference, we are currently fundraising for this event, we need to raise the funds for the air fares. Nu-Skin is holding a fashion show on the Gold Coast in support of the conference, they are the major sponsers.
We received a donation from the Toombul Ladies Bowls Club, it was wonderful to meet the group who have supported Debra for a great many years. A big thank you to them all. The Paul Newman Foundation donated $7,600 for research. Sue and Paul raised $4,600 by holding a dinner and auction, they are planning on doing the same next year.
30th August, 2002 - At our Annual General Meeting held on 10th August we had a change of committee, Helene stepped down from her role as president, Lucilla has taken on this position, Sue Holley is now Secretary and Paul Mckenna is Vice Secretary, Kellie is going to remain as Treasurer until Christmas when she will be moving to the USA, so we will be looking for a new Treasurer at the next meeting.
We still have Tea Towels and T'shirts available, please email us with your orders. The next meeting is on 2nd November 12pm. We would appreciate your support. Membership renewal is due, please contact us in regards to this matter, and let's see if we can get some new members.
